A Warm Welcome to Chef Cristian Puente
This year, Ecoventura welcomes Chef Cristian Puente. He is the creative force behind “Evolution,” the acclaimed restaurant at Pikaia Lodge – a Relais & Châteaux property on Santa Cruz Island. Originally from Otavalo, Ecuador, Chef Puente has spent six years at Pikaia Lodge, masterfully combining Ecuadorian ingredients with global cooking techniques. Onboard one of the luxury yachts, he will personally showcase the vibrant flavors of the Galapagos through his innovative dishes, drawing inspiration from his rich life experiences, friendships, childhood, and the unique landscapes of the archipelago.
An Exquisite Farm-to-Table Experience
Embarking on a 7-night sailing along our “Beaches & Bays” itinerary, guests will be treated to an exclusive farm-to-table experience personally curated by Chef Puente. On this exclusive departure, guests will have the unique opportunity to also attend a cooking demonstration and learn how to create the perfect ceviche, the Ecuadorian version of this South American staple made by marinating raw fish and other ingredients in lime juice. Embark on a remarkable culinary journey to uncover deep and hidden facets of Ecuadorian cuisine!
