Celebrating 30 years of Galapagos Expedition Cruising

It all started back in 1991 when we built our first yacht in our fleet of sister ships. We are happy to share a short video summing up some of the highlights of the past three decades. The video is voiced by our CEO, Santiago Dunn, who has seen the changes unfold before his eyes and has steered the evolution of the company as his vision for Ecoventura adapted with the times and to meet the demands of our guests.

A walk down memory lane with Ecoventura

As Santiago mentions, we have been honored to receive so many guests over the years, from solo travelers to couples and multi-get family gatherings, our team has shared countless special moments with our clients. After all, they do say that travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer!

We are proud to have great loyalty from our staff, many of whom have remained with us for many years. Take our Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing, Doris Welsh, who celebrated 30 years with Ecoventura a few months ago. Then there’s Sofia Darquea, a certified and highly respected naturalist guide of the Galápagos National Park who has is our longest serving guide with an impressive 31 years of experience under her belt – and most importantly, an encyclopaedic knowledge of the flora, fauna, geology and human history of the islands.

We hope you enjoy our video and that we can welcome you on board our Relais & Chateaux luxury expedition yachts soon. Here’s to the next 30 years!
