Jungle & Cloud Forest

Napo Wildlife Center

Spanning nearly 2.5 million acres of lush Amazonian rainforest, Ecuador’s Yasuni National Park is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the largest tract of tropical rainforest in Ecuador. The luxurious Napo Wildlife Center is nestled on a ridge at the edge of a great jungle lake surrounded by beautiful pristine rainforest.  The Kitchwa Anangu people employ a sustainable eco-tourism model with solar energy panels, water treatment plants and waste recycling. All proceeds are reinvested into community projects including renewable energy, education, and health center at the Napo Cultural Center.

Take part in daily guided walks through the forest and on canoe excursions, including birding, hiking, and kayaking, tailored specifically to your interests.  A total of four separate canopy towers offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the uppermost reaches of the treetops.  Spy on clay licks teaming with parrots, macaws, toucans, hoatzins, river otters, caiman, reptiles, monkeys, and over 600 species of birds from a 130-foot-high canopy tower.

All 12 standard bungalows have one king bed and one twin bed, a private bathroom, ceiling fans, and private porches with lake views.  There are eight suites; four are connecting suites ideal for families, and six have a Jacuzzi and panoramic glass floor in the living room, a private bathroom with a waterfall shower, and a patio area.  The central tower houses a meeting room, boutique, library, and a full bar with a 50-foot viewing tower, an observation deck with 7 floors, and an elevator.
