Join us as we celebrate the newest luxury yacht to Galapagos, MV ORIGIN!
Last week our team at Ecoventura christened the newest member of the Ecoventura fleet, MV ORIGIN, and Doris Welsh was named as Godmother. Doris has been with Ecoventura for 25 years with numerous visits to the Islands and is a vital member of our team. She is looking forward to her next visit and being aboard the newest addition to the Ecoventura fleet.

After the Priest blessed the vessel with holy water on Ash Wednesday, Doris christened ORIGIN with bottle smashing duties, followed by photo ops and a champagne brunch to celebrate in Guayaquil.
It’s a long-standing tradition for yachts to have Godmothers, they bless the ship and historically have been trusted with the safe passage of the vessel. We are honored to have Doris send ORIGIN out with good luck for future voyages. We are counting down the days until ORIGIN’s inaugural cruise February 28th!
