Evolve’s Inaugural Voyage – December 2022

After announcing the name of our third luxury yacht, Evolve, back in October 2019, we are pleased to announce that Evolve’s inaugural voyage is scheduled for January 1, 2023.

Ecoventura CEO Santiago Dunn is constantly visiting the shipyard where Evolve is being built to check on progress and report back to the team with updates.

<p>“Theory hit the seas and right away joined sister ship Origin in its ranks as the only yachts ever to be inducted as official members of the esteemed <a href=Relais & Chateaux organization. Evolve will join the fleet next year offering the same level of service and amenities, at which point we will have a fully upgraded fleet of luxury expedition yachts” Santiago explains.

Construction of Evolve began back in August 2019, with the keel being laid towards the end of September. The vessel will sit alongside Origin and Theory in terms of design, style and experience, with 10 luxury cabins that foster a sense of connectivity with the destination via panoramic views from all corners, as well as onboard amenities including a full-time concierge, fitness center, sundeck with loungers, daybeds and a jacuzzi.

<p>“The Galapagos as a destination is highly exclusive and it should be approached as such” continues Santiago. “Our luxury expedition yachts Origin & Theory give travelers an intimate experience around the archipelago that is simply not possible aboard larger vessels, starting with the most favorable naturalist-to-passenger ratio in the Galapagos at a maximum of 10 guests per guide. <strong>Think of us as floating boutique hotels operating complete with a concierge and offering a high level of service, cuisine and amenities you would expect from a Relais & Chateaux property</strong>.”</p>

Evolve will join Origin and Theory and the three vessels will alternate between the two itineraries, which can be combined into a comprehensive 2-week voyage. Whether you’re hoping to snorkel with sealions, learn more about the endemic flora and fauna that inhabits the islands, paddle board with turtles or sip cocktails on the sundeck, there’s something for everyone on our expedition cruises.

<p>Built in the same mould as the existing luxury fleet, passengers on Evolve will benefit from being on one of the smallest and most exclusive luxury vessels in the Archipelago, with maximum comfort and <a href=minimised impact on the environment. Sustainable features on Evolve will mirror those of Origin and Theory’s, helping to reduce fossil fuel consumption by more than 30% whilst the stabilizing system and cutting-edge bow design allow for smoother and faster sailing up to 14 knots.

“The beauty of choosing a smaller vessel is the unique access to parts of the archipelago that larger ships can’t reach. As a boutique cruising company and family run business, our impact on the islands is significantly smaller as we have more control over our conservation efforts and how we protect these cherished islands.”
