During departures with teenagers, the pace of excursions is faster and activities are more physically demanding, including longer hikes, extended kayaking trips, and additional snorkeling opportunities. Families with younger children can enjoy onboard games and participate in fun cooking classes. This serves as just one example of how we customize each family departure to suit the age groups of our guests.
Special Sailing Dates
In 2024, we offer family-oriented departures aboard one of our three identical luxury expedition yachts: Origin, Theory, and Evolve. These sailings are exclusively designated for families, providing a unique experience tailored to families traveling together. We recommend checking with us at the time of booking, as some family trip dates may already be sold out.
Discounts for Children on Galapagos Family Trips
Children aged 17 years and younger at the time of sailing enjoy a 15% discount off the cruise rate. For airfare, children aged 11 and under receive a 30% discount, and the park entrance fee is $50 with proof of age and a copy of the child’s passport showing the date of birth. Starting in August 2024, the park entrance fee will increase to $100. Please note that children aged 5 and under are not accepted unless the parents or legal guardians sign a hold harmless release. Designated family and family teen departures are available during school breaks. Children aged 4 and under are permitted on private charters only.
