Ecoventura is excited to announce that the use of Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs) were approved for us to use in the Galapagos on board our yachts, in the designated areas where we use our Kayaks now!
This has been a long time coming! We purchased these boards TWO years ago, in anticipation of being approved by the park… and then had them waiting in storage all this time. They have since been removed from storage and transported by cargo ships down to the islands for our yachts. Ecoventura is the first tour boat operator to have SUPs on board in the Galapagos.
We can finally say that Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a new activity you can enjoy when traveling to the Galapagos Islands with Ecoventura.
There will be two Stand Up Paddle Boards on each yacht: The Eric, Letty, and the MV ORIGIN. They will not be available on the Galapagos Sky, as scuba diving is the main activity on this vessel.
In addition, we have Kayaks on board available to passengers. The Eric & Letty yachts have two doubles and one single Kayak. The MV ORIGIN has five doubles and one single Kayak.
The Stand Up Paddle Boards and Kayaks can be used at these sites:
- Itinerary A: Gardner Bay, Floreana, and Cerro Brujo San Cristobal
- Itinerary B: Tagus Cove, Isabela and Darwin Bay, Genovesa (Tower)
